23 – 25 November: SAT Expo Europe 2010 is presented in Moscow – press conference at the ITAR –TASS Press Agency (download the press release)
SAT Expo Europe will be presenting in Moscow, Russia, from 23rd to 25th November to the presence also of representatives of Roscosmos (the Russian Space Agency) and of the Russian Ministry of Communications.
The Mission in Moscow will be made in cooperation with the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce, the support of the Russian subsidiary of Finmeccanica and AIAD (Italian Industries Federation for Aerospace, Defence and Security).
The presentation of SAT Expo Europe in Moscow is one of the strategic steps of the international promotional programme of the exhibition that follows up the presentations in Tunisia at the end of September, in Canada and in the USA in mid-October, which have paved the way for important delegations from these countries to participate in the next edition of SAT Expo Europe.
The interest of global aerospace industry in SAT Expo Europe is growing. After the Turkish Minister of Defence has confirmed it will participate in the international exhibition, and thanks to the confirmation not only of a large delegation of governmental, institutional and industrial representatives of the Turkish aerospace and telecommunications sectors, but also thanks to an important institutional exhibition area, among the new foreign entries, the participation of NASA is very significant: it will take part with an exhibition space and will also participate in the organization (in cooperation with ESA and ASI) of a meeting on international cooperation in the sector of space communication for the missions of space exploration.
Among the numerous foreign delegations participating to SAT Expo Europe 2010 (all major Countries from Mediterranean Basin and EMEA Area), there will be also a very important Indian delegation managed by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation).
The “Space in Italy” area will be instead the core of SAT Expo Europe 2010, a real stock exchange area of more than 400 sq m, where business match making will be organized, in collaboration with BCI Aerospace (ABE Group) and the Space Associations of AIAD, ASAS, AIPAS. Within this area, a special route will display models and applications, enabling Space Agencies, Research Centers and Universities to explain the developments of their projects through a direct exchange with different representatives.
SAT Expo Europe has been recognised as the official exhibition for the three main aerospace associations – ASAS, AIPAS, AIAD – that have been working for years to promote the development of Italian SMEs in Italy and abroad.
